Also present: Mark Toboll, webmaster Brooke reported on the work and turnout for the young alum event...which she put a great effort into with very disappointing results...don't really know what else to try to draw in new alumni.
The bus trip is scheduled for the Colorado game....we have only 20 people riding the bus, so Dave Fleck contacted the bus company, and we will be using a smaller bus...some of the tickets were sold with scholarship donations, and people will be attending the game on their own. The following duties were assigned:
Beverages : Dave Fleck
Food: Brooke and Mary
Door prizes: Mary
We reviewed the web site with Mark and made some changes....PLEASE>>>EVERYONE update your email, mailing address and phone # with Mark Toboll and Mary.....Mark reminded us that we should have sponsors of the web page with links to the sponsors....Anyone wanting to make a donation to help upkeep the website and advertise your business, please contact Mary or Dave....
Due to the large amounts of applicants for the scholarship and the areas they were from, we made the following amendment to the scholarship criteria: Applicants must attend a high school within the Sioux Empire Drawing area....ie...65 miles from Sioux Falls...It was felt that it is the fund-raising in that area that supports the scholarship; therefore, we will accept applicants from that area.
Mary Jim and Brooke will be attending the leadership conference in Lincoln October 28-30.
