Sioux Empire Board Meeting, August 1, 2007 at CJ Callaway’s
Members present: Brooke, Truman, Jim, Jason, Antje, Mary, Gordon, Dave, Paul, and Steve.
Annual Summer Picnic: There have been several door prizes donated for the picnic including hats, shirts, a cooler, golf sets, etc. Since there were many items donated some of the door prizes will saved for the bus trip. Any non-members who join the NAA at the picnic, will be eligible for a drawing for one ticket for the bus trip. We will have two drawings. We will have forms and information available for NAA sign up. Mary has several items for the senior send-off bags, Jason will supply the bags and we will assemble them prior to the picnic. Decals will be available at the picnic for $20/ pair. We estimate there will be 60-75 people at the picnic.
Current By-Laws: The board members reviewed the current by-laws and several changes were discussed and decided on. The updated by-laws will be available for membership review.
Current Membership Roster: The board members reviewed the list and supplied updates.
Football Migration Trip: We have 23 tickets left for the Texas A&M game on October 20th. The price for the bus trip is $175 each. We also have 2 additional seats on the bus for members who have season tickets and just want to ride the bus, the cost for the ride and food will be $100 ea. We have to turn in a list to NAA and the people on the list must be present to pick up the tickets prior to the game at the ticket office. Each person must show a valid ID and be a current member of NAA. Details for the bus trip will be discussed at the next board meeting.
Watch Party – Jason and Antje will try to arrange a watch party for the Wake Forest game on September 8th. Details will be sent out by e-mail.
Activity Form – We reviewed and filled in information on all activities the group participated in for the 06-07 year. This form is required by the NAA and determines red letter status.
