Sioux Empire Board Meeting: June 26, 2006

Members present: Truman, Dave Jim, Brooke, Brian, Mary, and excused absence Paul
Just a reminder of the by-laws, those missing 3 consecutive events will no longer be a member of the board.
Banquet/scholarship re-cap: Dave has confirmed the scholarship winners and has given a scholarship to a runner-up. Lee Running, one of the winners, auditioned for the Scarlet and Cream singers the night of the banquet, and will be a member of the performance group for the 2006-07 season. Congrats!
St. Francis house: Brooke reported that her, Jim and Mike Houk were the only ones to show up. Several others had confirmed that they would help and never showed up.
Watch parties: Mary will check with Buffalo Wild wings and CJ's pub about hosting watch parties.
Bus trip: We received 40 tickets to the Missouri game for a bus trip. Tickets will be $150/person. Members of the NAA will be allowed to purchase up to 4 tickets. Ticket price will include game ticket, transportation, food and refreshments, and a scholarship donation. Contact Mary Dick for details.
Picnic: the picnic will be held August 10 at Sertoma Park. The shelter is reserved, Brooke will pick up the food at Sams, Brian will get the grill, Jim is picking up the banner, Mary will bring the paper goods and serving utensils, beans and sauerkraut. We need volunteers to help grill brats and hotdogs. Please contact Mary. This is also a personal hygiene product drive for the St. Francis house and a senior send-off. We will have gift bags for any students attending UNL. If you have a donation for the students, please contact Mary. |
