Board Meeting: February 2, 2004
Agenda:
Members present: Jim, Brooke, Brian, Joe and Mary.
Scholarship interviews: Jim, Dave, and Brooke interviewed over 20 applicants last Sat, and over 20 are scheduled for this Sat. Jim had picked up information from the admissions office to pass out to students. The applicants are very qualified, and from all over the state. We had worked with the admissions office to send out an email about our scholarship, and obviously we have a better response.
St. Francis House: Brian has lined up the meal and the date, February 13, 2004. He will cook the meat, Brooke and Ryan will provide dessert, Steve Hauff also said he will help. Brian will contact others to help serve and provide potatoes.
Founders Day: Mary will contact Chris for extra invitations...they have been mailed out by the alumni association, and we have received a few responses. It will be at St. Mary's hall, Olde Towne catering will serve a buffet supper. There are some leftover bottles of wine from previous banquets that we will use for social hour....Mary bought items for 2-3 auction baskets, and Joe will try to find a couple more items when he is in Lincoln next week. Anyone who can help set-up, please contact Dave or Mary....
Web page: Our coming events, such as Founders Day, and serving the St. Francis house have not been posted. Mary will contact Mark Toboll to make sure he posts events mentioned in the minutes.
We discussed possible other fund-raisers if football tickets are not available: bus trip to a Timberwolves game, baseball game or spring game....we will have to wait and see...Hope to see you all at Founders Day... |
